The sternocleidomastoid muscle, brachial biceps and brachial triceps that draw a diagonal line from the pectoralis major muscle to the collarbone and neck can be said to be the foundation of the chest.
The chest is also connected to the uterus and ovaries through the female hormones estrogen and progesterone.

It is placed on the top of the pectoralis major muscle in a semicircular shape. It is surrounded by blood vessels and lymphatic v essels along the mammary gland.
